Dr Gerben Keijzers is a senior Emergency Physician at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service and an adjunct Professor of Emergency Medicine. He has an academic portfolio which includes research around topics relevant to clinical practice in critical care with a focus on challenging dogma and finding solutions that are better for the patients, easier for the staff and cheaper for the system. He encourages curiosity and critical thinking through research and education.
Gerben’s research related roles at ACEM include membership of the clinical trials network and research committee and he is a trainee project adjudicator. Within Gold Coast Health, he chairs the Emergency Department Collaborative Research Group, and is a Research Council member.
