Dr Colin Mak is an Emergency registrar working at Gold Coast Health. Originally working in major trauma centres in London, his academic interests include quality improvement, toxicology, ethical practice and global emergency care.
He has recently launched a new podcast series ‘Coastal Curiosity’ talking to Gold Coast clinician researchers aimed at improving accessibility to research. He spent two years on the QEDSAP Clinical Improvement and Innovation Working Group and is currently part of the Gold Coast Toxicology Working Group.
Having worked within paediatric retrievals and event medicine across Australia, he is looking forward to further developing his pre-hospital portfolio with Lifeflight at Brisbane in the second half of 2025.
When not frantically preparing for his fellowship OSCE, he enjoys spending time on his boat with his 3 year old fluffy Samoyed.
